WHY: So area photographers and models can talk and network with each other. So you can get the best shotz possible at discounted rates, at THATstudio (inside and out).
WHO: All interested photographers who RSVP, plus 6 House Models (so far)..all shooting at discounted rates for this event. Onboard, in no particluar order, will be Cat, Julia, Amy Marie, Amanda, Allie and Dakota, with guest model, Emma Young.
See their photos on the studio site of:
Extensive photographer experience isn't necessary to shoot here. Plenty of expertise will be on hand, to be shared.
STYLES: from funky fashion to glamour to figure/art nudes
STRUCTURE/RATES: There's a $110 fee that brings you in the studio door for all or part of the 5 hour event INCLUDING 4 tickets, each 1 translating into 20 minutes of 1 on 1 shooting with your model of choice. That's a dollar a minute of pure shooting. No extra $40/hour studio rental fee.
More "20 minute tickets for $20" can be bought at the event to extend your shoot options.
As a photographer, you'll be able to shoot for as long as 5 hours, in 20 minute increments, with as many as 6 different models! And the both the models' rates and studio rental rates are steeply discounted.
5 hours of studio rental fees alone would normally cost you $200. But enough about rates.
Sure you can come here to get a good deal. But the beauty of it all is, well, the beauties! Such a variety of looks and personalities within THATstudio model land. Look at their photos from past events. Click on links to their other sites. Then be ready for a historically memorable photographic social time on the afternoon of Ocober 2.
SCHEDULE: 12P - Arrivals, socializing, planning of shoots with individual models. (hint - It pays to be early)
12:30 - 5:00 - Shoot at will by arrangement with the models
FAQs: There's a lot of natural light here. Go to THATstudio.zenfolio.com, if you don't believe it.
In addition, I've got 12 studio strobes PLUS 2 banks of 500 LED lights, PLUS 4 LED spotlights, to add some pop to your shotz if you want to use them. I've got 4 sets of strobe triggers, but bring your own if you have them. We'll definitely have more than 4 photographers shooting at once, but many may not need the strobes. Daylight is the likely light of choice. Come and go as you please.
There is plenty of neighborhood parking to accommodate us all. But please keep them happy by not blocking driveways, sidewalks or mailboxes. Thanks!
NOTE: For this event, it's OK to invite other photographers. Cost is still $110 for each of them. The only caution is that you may likely see some degree of nudity during someone's shoot.
Models are welcomed too, but contact me (Doug Kean) in advance to request approval. This is a selective event where all models need to be at least up to THATstudio model standards. If approved, their admission is free and the $20 for 20 minutes pay per shoot rule applies to them too. Ask. I'd love to expand this venue.
No one under 18 is admitted.
See you, new and old, there on Sunday October 2!
